Deportivo has Panamanian Fidel Escobar on his agenda

Deportivo has set its sights on Panamanian central Fidel Escobar. As you have been able to know ACE, Fernando Vidal, president of Depor, would be the main supporter of the incorporation of the defender of Córdoba. Vidal, with businesses in Panama, has become interested in the player, having heard very well about the player.

Fidel Escobar, 25, is in Cordoba on loan and has a contract with the Sporting de San Miguelito until December 31. The player nicknamed “The Commander” measures 1.88 meters and can play central or advance his position to the center of the field. Depor, focused on achieving salvation, does not take his eyes off the market for the future.

The Panamanian debuted at the age of 18 in the San Francisco de Panama and then sign for him Sporting San Miguelito. After shining in the Panamanian league and in the U-20 World Cup in 2015, the defender left on loan to Sporting de Portugal to play 14 games with its subsidiary. His career in Portugal was marked by the attempt to terminate the contract in search of more opportunity. The player rejoined the team and had minutes.

Escobar returned on loan. His new destination was New York to play on loan for 18 months in the New York Red Bulls. There he played six games and was chosen one week in the best eleven. At the end of his loan, another began in the Roadrunner Mexican without debuting due to a bureaucratic problem. The defender was summoned by the Panama national team to play a friendly against Brazil in Porto. The player went without having solved the procedures in his work permit in Mexico causing the operation to fall. The next loan, and so far the last, has been this season in the Cordova.

The Panamanian absolute international, which has 42 games including three dthe 2018 World Cup in Russia, has played 20 games with the Cordova, 16 of them as defense and another four in midfield. This season he has missed two games when he was summoned with his team, three due to muscle injury and three when staying out of the call. His jump to Deportivo can be overtaken by not playing the promotion playoff with the Andalusians after going 5th when the season was stopped due to the coronavirus.
