Deportivo formally requests the relegation of Fuenlabrada

Deportivo continues its legal battle to avoid relegation to Second B after the suspension of the match on the last day of the League against Fuenlabrada on July 20. The Coruña club sent a new letter to the Federation on the night of August 11 providing new evidence of the alleged breaches of the Madrid team that the investigating judge has admitted to processing. Among these new tests, the following stands out: “The first notice to the General Director of Public Health of the Xunta de Galicia by the head of LaLiga occurred, surprisingly, on Monday 7/20 at 7:00 p.m. Fuenlabrada and LaLiga did not inform the Xunta de Galicia of the number of positives for COVID-19 until 21:41 on 20/7.

After these new allegations, Deportivo goes one step further and requests as a conclusion the descent of Fuenlabrada: “For all the above, I REQUEST THE RFEF. That he considers this WRITING OF ALLEGATIONS timely and agrees to proceed with File 562 – 2019-20, due to its procedures, and after the complete instruction thereof, be imposed on C.F. FUENLABRADA, S.A.D., the sanction of loss or demotion of category or division given the multiple and repeated breaches of the federative regulations invoked, without prejudice to the remaining sanctions and measures that the RFEF deems appropriate in order to restore the integrity of the Second Division League”.

In this new chapter of the Fuenlabrada case, the blue and white club “considers the result of the match against Fuenlabrada (2-1) absolutely irrelevant”. For this remember that in his first allegations he had requested “the cancellation of all the results of the 42nd Day matches, for adulterating and seriously violating the rules of the competition”. Also the “Immediate suspension of the processing of promotions and demotions” until “Completion of the instruction and resolution of file No. 562 – 2019/2020 of the RFEF Competition Committee”. And finally, the full repetition of all the matches of the 42nd Day of LaLiga Smartbank respecting the Circular 93 of the RFEF regarding the dispute in unified time”.
