Decathlon joins the RFEC’s ‘Women In Bike’ program

The sports equipment distribution company and the federation will collaborate to promote women’s cycling

MADRID, 15 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The sports equipment distribution company Decathlon has joined the ‘Women In Bike’ program, promoted by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) to jointly promote women’s cycling during this 2023.

In the same way, Decathlon will actively participate in the different Women in Bike actions that take place in 2023. Some of them will consist of offering incentives in the form of gift cards for those who organize their meetings from Decathlon stores, reviews annual free bikes for each leader, discounts on personalization of the kit or the possibility that the leaders can use the stores to organize events, workshops or courses.

“Decathlon is one of the largest sports equipment distribution companies in the world and this agreement will allow Women In Bike to take a new step in a very important year for us in which we celebrate our fifth anniversary promoting women’s sports and leisure cycling. leisure, helping more and more women join in enjoying the magic of the bicycle”, said the president of the RFEC, José Luis López Cerrón.

For his part, the head of Decathlon Spain’s cycling market, Rubén Fernandes, pointed out that the company has signed this alliance with the RFEC to “promote and encourage a community of women cyclists”, making the network of stores of the company as a meeting point.
