The sports equipment design, sale and distribution company Decathlon celebrates the 30th anniversary of the opening of its first store in Spain, in 1992 in the Barcelona municipality of Badalona, with a program that includes more than 90 activities that will take place in their establishments.
The French multinational, which has its origins in 1976, arrived in Spain on October 28, 1992 and in these 30 years Decathlon Spain has become one of the key players in the country’s sports ecosystem.

For this reason, in this 2022 the company has congratulated and thanked all the people who are part of its team at some point throughout these years, and its customers.
Throughout these years, Decathlon has worked daily alongside athletes through innovation, from research and development to sales, including conception, design, production and logistics, and to grow steadily. responsible with the environment.
Currently, Decathlon Spain offers products for the practice of 150 sports disciplines, with more than 60 own brands and more than 100,000 references through its stores, online channel and ‘marketplace’.
In addition, the company’s network of establishments reaches 174 stores distributed throughout the national territory, being present in all the Autonomous Communities, and Ceuta and Melilla, and also has a logistics network made up of 7 centers.

CELEBRATION OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the company began this 2022 by launching the campaign ‘Life, the sport we love the most’ and promoted the social and environmental initiative through a commemorative drum, with the proceeds of which 2,000 trees will be planted in collaboration with Retree .
