De Bruyne, once again elected best player of the year

Belgian Kevin de Bruyne, Manchester City midfielder, was voted Premier Player of the Year for the second time in a row by the Professional Footballers Association (PFA).

JAlong with De Bruyne were nominated Harry Kane (Tottenham), Bruno fernandes (Manchester United) and his teammates Ilkay Gundogan, Ruben Dias and Phil Foden, which won the best youngster award.

The Belgian was already the winner of this award last season and is the first to repeat himself since the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo achieved it. in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 campaigns when he was playing for Manchester United. Previously, only Thierry Henry had managed to repeat the award two years in a row.
