De Bruyne: “If the lap is tight they will have to attack a little more”

MADRID, 6 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

Manchester City player Kevin de Bruyne highlighted the team’s patience in beating Atlético de Madrid (1-0) in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals and assured that “if the second leg is tight they will have to attack a little more”.

“The first half was close, in the second we had a couple of chances and it was good that we took advantage of one. I broke free and Phil (Foden) found me perfectly, I had to keep my composure and luckily I did,” he said of the only match goal.

“We have to stay calm. 1-0 is 1-0. I expect something similar there. If the game is tight they will have to attack a little more,” added the Belgian international, who has scored five of his 11 goals in ‘ Champions’ in the quarterfinal round.
