David Timor separates from Getafe

David Timor, Getafe midfielder, announced this Friday his separation from the Madrid club and signed for Huesca, where he will play for the next two and a half seasons.

The former Getafe player said goodbye through his social networks and launched a message addressed to the fans and the club he was part of since the summer before the start of the 2019/20 season.

“Dear Azulona family, the day has come when I have to say goodbye to this great club that I have defended with commitment and effort until the end. It has been a pleasure and an honor to wear this shirt. See you always,” wrote the player from 32 years old, who wore the Getafe shirt in 70 official matches in which he scored three goals and gave one assist.

The arrival of Gonzalo Villar and Oscar Rodríguez in the winter market has closed the doors to Timor, who, if he already played little, with the new reinforcements from Getafe until the end of the year, he would have fewer opportunities to enjoy minutes under orders by Quique Sanchez Flores.

Now, Timor will extend his career at Huesca, which has also been reinforced in the winter market with Lago Junior and Pablo Martínez to try to reach one of the top six positions that give access to the qualifiers to be promoted to the First Division.

Huesca announced this Friday, almost at the same time as Timor’s farewell, the arrival of the Getafe midfielder.

“David Timor joins the azulgrana project. The midfielder arrives free and signs for this season and two more courses. Power and hierarchy for our midfield. Welcome Timor,” the Huesca club wrote on its official Twitter account.
