David García: “It's a shame not to be able to have all the 'red' fans in the stands”

MADRID, 10 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

CA Osasuna center back David García regretted this Wednesday the “not being able to have the encouragement” of the Navarrese fans “in such an important match”, as happened in the last Copa del Rey final, in which “more than 20,000 rojillos”, fans to whom he hopes to be able to bring victory and a place in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.

“What makes us most sad is not being able to have the encouragement of all our people from the stands, and even more so in such an important match. I remember in the Cup final looking at the stands and seeing more than 20,000 rojillos there… It's a shame but we hope to be able to give them a victory and try to play in that final,” said the 'rojillo' captain in the preview of the semi-final against FC Barcelona in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

A match that for David García is “a dream.” “To be able to be here, to play a match of this caliber as Navarro and 'rojillo', after so many years in Osasuna, where I have been since I was nine, is a source of great pride, of satisfaction for all the path traveled and it is something that will remain in history,” he noted.

The Spanish international believes that “it is never a good time” to face an opponent of “this caliber”, although he clarified that the Blaugranas are not going through “their best moment”. “They are also going to be eager to vindicate themselves and turn around the situation they are experiencing,” he added.

“We don't have any pressure and tomorrow we will surely see a great game. Hopefully we can see the best version of Osasuna, although in this first round it has not been seen. I think the team arrives liberated and with the conviction that they can win the game” , he pointed.

The 'rojillo' central defender is clear that the League match is a good reference to be able to hurt Barça. “The Sadar match was very disputed, it escaped us by the slightest and with a somewhat controversial action. Tomorrow we will see an Osasuna that is going to win and that wants to be able to play the final on Sunday,” he explained. Garcia.

Finally, the Navarrese warned of the toughness of the calendar, with a January “loaded with games.” “We have a large team to be able to rotate and be able to all compete in the best way. Let's hope that the second round is much better than the first,” he concluded.
