Darwin Machís and Germán are already centenarians with Granada

Darwin Daniel Machís Marcano (Tucupita, 7-2-1993) and Germán Sánchez Barahona (San Fernando, Cádiz, 12-12-1986) reached this Sunday in Balaídos, against Celta, the number of 100 official matches with the Granada shirt. In the four seasons he has been playing at Los Cármenes, the center-back has earned everyone's respect and affection to the point that he is the captain. A benchmark on and off the pitch.

An important curriculum is also being developed at Los Cármenes Machís, who joined the club in 2012 to join the subsidiary team. But very soon, in August 2012, he made his debut with the first team in the league against Rayo Vallecano. Later he played on loan in the ranks of Hercules, returned in 2014-15 and made two consecutive assignments to Huesca and Leganés to return to Los Cármenes in 2017, the first year of Second. A year later, his transfer to Udinese was completed and after his transfer to Cádiz on loan he made the return trip to Granada to become one of the stilettos of the current Nasrid project. Behind their backs, 100 games as rojiblanco in which he has scored 26 goals and has distributed 16 assists.

Germán, for his part, arrived at Granada in the 2017-18 season from Tenerife. The Granada team had just dropped to Second and needed to reset to return to First in the best conditions. Germán, who made his debut against Albacete on 8-20-2017, played 14 games that season and scored one goal.

But the best was yet to come with the arrival of Diego Martínez. A great campaign that ended in a return to the honor division with 38 games played. Already among the greats, Germán reaffirmed his leadership and charisma by playing 28 games and scoring three goals (two in the League and one in the Cup) in a spectacular campaign. Granada finished seventh and qualified, for the first time in its history, to play a continental competition, the Europa League.

Germán, Mr. Efficiency, has a very interesting mark in his sports career. He has been nine consecutive seasons scoring at least one goal in each of them. He has a contract in force until June 30, 2022. But if the body endures, the same we see him some more years stepping on grass. In these 100 matches, Germán has added six goals of the 18 that he has achieved throughout his career.
