The midfielder of Sant Adrià confessed in an interview with MD that Darder was the player he looked at when he was in grassroots football and the Mallorcan was already standing out. He was his boy idol and I wanted to play like Sergi. Years later (when Darder returned Espanyol) both coincided for several years in the first team, forging a great friendship.
