The Spanish couple eliminates the current champions in search of the medals

The Spanish beach volleyball couple made up of Daniela Álvarez and Tania Moreno qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2023 European Championship in Vienna, by eliminating the defending title holders, the Latvians Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova, on Thursday.
The young Spanish girls gave the surprise of the tournament on the Danube Island with their victory in two sets (21-19, 21-14) against the defending champions in the round of 16.
The Madrid and Asturian women, European Under-22 champions and fourth in the 2022 European Championship, have not lost a set in the Austrian arena and this Friday they will once again seek to enter the fight for the medals with the duel against the Italians Marta Menegatti and Valentina Gottardi, repeat of last year’s quarterfinals.
