“Daniel handles a lot of money in prison”: Koh Samui prisoners tell the truth about Sancho’s privileges

The trial against the son of Rodolfo Sancho It ended last Thursday in Thailand after four intense weeks in which more than 35 witnesses have paraded through the court. It remains to be seen for sentencing, which will be public on August 29, but the controversy continues. The reason? The alleged favorable treatment he receives Daniel Sancho in the prison where he entered on August 7. This has been reported by the victim’s lawyers, Edwin Arrieta, who have pointed out not only the Thai authorities but also the Spanish Embassy. This Friday, the prisoners who share confinement with the Spanish chef spoke: “He handles a lot of money in here.”

This is what the sister of one of Daniel’s colleagues told a Mediaset reporter. He is one of the prisoners closest to the Spaniard. They share space in the infirmary and even spend the night together, since the son of the protagonist of plastic sea He claimed a back injury to avoid stepping into a cell, like the rest of the inmates. “Sancho manages so much money in prison that on New Year’s Eve he invited all his nursing colleagues to have good food for dinner”. He, in fact, has not tried the prison menu: “He always eats food that he orders from outside or a special menu inside the prison. They make him fried eggs, which he loves, and he only drinks bottled mineral water.”

They also claim that Daniel has much more free time than the rest of the prisoners because He only works when he feels like it (in the kitchen) while for the rest it is mandatory and they have a set schedule. During this time, he studies tai and plays sports.

Finally, they claim that he receives frequent visits from the Spanish Embassy staff when his family is not in Thailand: “That does not happen with any other Spanish prisoner,” they point out.

Darling Arrieta: “I don’t believe it”

Edwin Arrieta’s sister spoke this Friday for the Telecinco program. Once the trial is over, and despite everything indicating that the sentence will be very favorable for Daniel, Darling maintains faith: “I trust that justice will be done on August 29.”

Regarding the Spanish chef’s apology in his final argument before the judge, Darling is clear: “I don’t believe it. He paid lip service to it, as we say in Colombia. He said it because it was convenient for him. Do you feel it now but you haven’t felt it in the previous nine months?”

Furthermore, the sister of the murdered surgeon is very hurt by the information that has been released about her brother and announces legal measures: “They have been cruel to a person who can no longer defend himself, they have talked about him without knowing him, they have trampled on the name of my brother.
