The now interim coach of ElPozo Murcia Costa Cálida FS Dani Martínez will be the new first coach of the Murcia team in the next 2024-25 season, fully taking the reins of the team now shared with Vinicius Elías Teixeira after the dismissal of Javi Rodríguez in February this year.
“The 36-year-old Catalan coach Daniel Martínez, a native of Barcelona (08-27-1987), will be the coach of ElPozo Murcia Costa Cálida FS next season 2024-25,” the club announced in a statement.
Dani Martínez arrived at the Murcia coaching staff in August 2022 as second coach and physical trainer, from Industrias Santa Coloma. After the dismissal of coach Javi Rodríguez, Dani took the team along with Vinicius Elías Teixeira.
It was on matchday 19 of the current campaign, against Córdoba Patrimony, and since then the team has had seven wins, two draws and one defeat in the League. In addition, they were runners-up in the Spanish Cup after losing the final against Barça on penalties.
Now ElPozo has two days to conclude the regular League, in which it is in second position, and as of May 25, the Play Offs to fight for the LNFS title begin.
