Dani Alves signs for the Mexican Pumas and will have his farewell from the Camp Nou

The Brazilian, ex-Barça player for a month, will play Joan Gamper on August 7

MADRID, 23 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Brazilian player Dani Alves became a new player for the Mexican Pumas this Saturday, after signing his contract and being presented, after just over a month of his dismissal from Barça.

“Beyond football and achievements, I am a person who likes to leave a legacy to younger people. To come here may seem crazy to many, but for me football is not just a sport, I want it to continue transforming the lives of many other youngsters,” the 39-year-old right-back said in his presentation.

The Brazilian appeared with the president of the Mexican National University club, Leopoldo Silva, after the signing of the contract. “That is why I have accepted the challenge of coming here to Pumas, to the University. The University is made so that people can dream,” added Alves.

The Brazilian finished his second spell at Barça this summer, admitting last week that he did not like the way he left the club with which he won 23 titles in his first spell. However, Alves will finally have a farewell to the Camp Nou.

The culé team will play the Joan Gamper, their presentation trophy before their public, against Pumas, with which Alves will have the option of playing shortly after his goodbye and receiving, with all certainty, the affection of a hobby that has him in good esteem.
