Dani Alves says goodbye to Tite: “There are some medals that you don’t wear on your chest, but in your soul”

MADRID, 10 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Brazilian international Dani Alves showed this Saturday his gratitude to the former Brazil coach, Adenor Leonardo Bacchi ‘Tite’, after the elimination of the ‘Canarinha’ in the penalty shootout against Croatia, at the same time that he confessed his admiration for the coach and wished him luck for the future, after leaving office.

“This hug is the purest meaning of what you represent for me and for this group of special human beings,” said the Club Universidad Nacional player on his official Instagram account, along with a photograph of a hug between the two.

“Specially grateful for his particularities, for his character, for his humility and, above all, for the stories of overcoming difficulties and for the great souls behind the small screen. There are some medals that you don’t wear on your chest, but in the soul, and this is one,” he added.

In addition, the Brazilian international highlighted the work of the coach and praised his work in the locker room. “Thank you for teaching us to be men, sons, friends, brothers and human beings. It may be that what we have today has no value, or it may be that there are still beings who still believe how valuable and important it is,” he said.

Finally, a former FC Barcelona player, who became the oldest soccer player (39 years and 210 days) from Brazil to participate in a World Cup, confessed that this edition was the last of his career. “This is our last trip here, and I can tell you that I wouldn’t change a thing. I wish you all the most wonderful and purest things in this life and the next,” he noted.

“May you have the peace that I will also carry with me. The peace of duty and mission fulfilled. The result of a match will never change the score of our lives. With much love and respect, thank you for all these years together in the promise to represent to the best country in the world”, he concluded.
