Dani Alves, Barça’s oldest signing

After five seasons outside the Barça, Dani Alves He will once again dress as a Barça player to bring his experience and professionalism to the first team and will become the most veteran signing of the culé team since 1929, when the First Division began as we know it today.

To their 38 years, 6 months, and 6 days, Dani Alves leaves behind the previous mark that the French had Lilian Thuram, who arrived at the Camp Nou in 2006 at the age of 34 from Juventus in Turin. Before they also came to Barça footballers already veterans Juan Hilario (34 years), Henrik Larsson (33), Demetrio Albertini (33), Fernando García (33) or the Kun Agüero, that when he signed as a Barça player he was 32 years old.

It should be remembered that in 1908 the Barça signed the german Julio Mueller when he was 44 years old, but he was barely a season at the Barça club and football was still not so professionalized.

The fifth oldest in LaLiga

After confirming his return to Barça, Dani Alves will be the fifth oldest player in this edition of LaLiga. They only surpass the Betic Joaquin(40 years, 3 months, 19 days), the blue and white Diego Lopez (40 years, 9 days), the Nasrid Jorge Molina (39 years, 7 months and 10 days) and the Betic Claudio Bravo (38 years, 6 months and 28 days).
