The French manufacturer Crosscall has launched Action X5, its new ultra-resistant smartphone for sports and work in the office, with Gorilla Glass screen, integrated action camera and stabilizer, ‘walkie-talkie’ function and an ‘infinite’ battery, 11 hours of intense GPS and data use and up to 13 days standby.
This was announced by those responsible in the presentation for the specialized press in Madrid. Thanks to the integrated action camera, long-lasting battery and resistance, this device is designed for the athlete to “enjoy the activity without worrying about technology” when returning to activity after the pandemic.
With a 3-year warranty and a repairability index of 8.8 out of 10, the only French manufacturer of mobile devices once again defies the rules of the market with the launch of the Action X5. This new phone offers significantly better photographic quality than its iconic model, the Trekker X4.
Launched in 2018, the latter paved the way for new uses by being the first smartphone with a built-in action camera. Thanks to user feedback and the Community of Innovators, the 2,300 people who test Crosscall models during all design phases, engineers at the Aix-en-Provence-based company have been able to improve this technological innovation.
The Action X5 has two cameras on the back, one with 48 MP with a normal angle (80 °) and the other with a wide angle of 120 degrees (13MP); this same wide-angle camera has also been incorporated as a novelty at the front. This wide angle is very practical in selfie mode for those who feel that their arm is not long enough for everyone to be in the photo.
The Action X5 natively incorporates the X-CAM application, which allows you to record by choosing the desired angle, the traditional Slowmotion or Timelapse or the Dashcam mode, which allows you to let the phone shoot continuously and keep only the last 30 or 60 seconds .
In addition, the Hyperstab function manages to keep the horizon straight when filming in motion, and the user becomes a director of editing and editing with X-Story, the editing application that instantly turns recorded videos into unforgettable movies.
Due to its combination of performance and energy saving, and its large 3,850 mAh battery, the Action X5 allows you to carry out a long sports day, as it lasts up to 25 hours of communication and 11 hours of intense use of GPS and data without having to recharge it, and 13 days in standby mode.
BUILT FOR ADVENTURE
The materials, image, color and rhythmic lines of this model are inspired by the world of sport. Designed with a 5:45 “screen in 18: 9 format, it allows access to 80 percent of it with one hand, can be used with wet fingers and with gloves.
It resists the most extreme temperatures, between 46 below zero and 71 ºC and complies with the ‘Crosscall Standards’, a rigorous set of resistance tests developed by the brand that goes far beyond the standards of mobile telephony.
With IP68 certification, the Action X5 is waterproof to all liquids and dust, allowing its user to live their adventures in the most difficult conditions.

The two buttons located on the sides of the phone are programmable to configure the desired functions. In this way, with the X-Talk application, Crosscall allows you to use this smartphone as a walkie-talkie and communicate with several people simultaneously and instantly, with no distance limit.
