These are difficult days for the Manchester coach, who has ended his marriage with Christina Serra after 30 years of relationship and three children together. The news hit the media just two days ago and although the reasons for the breakup were not revealed, it was stated that it had been cordial and very thoughtful. Now, new information suggests that the cause could be the renewal of Guardiola as coach of the British team for two more years.

According to journalist Lorena Vázquez, the decision of the former Blaugrana player to continue leading the team has dynamited the marriage, which had been living separately for five years. In 2019, Cristina Serra and the youngest of her daughters returned to Barcelona, ​​where she took the reins of the textile company that she founded years ago and which is based in Barcelona. Guardiola, for his part, continued in Manchester. A temporary solution that worked during the first months but that has been eroding the union of one of the most stable couples on the sports scene.

Pep and Cristina met in 1994, when he was excelling on the playing fields and she was attracting attention on TV3, where she worked as an actress. They married two decades later, in 2014, in a civil and intimate ceremony held in Matadepera (Barcelona). They were already parents of three children: María, 24 years old, who is an influencer and has almost a million followers on Instagram; Marius, 22, who lives in Dubai and is CEO of three companies dedicated to advertising and marketing; and Valentina, 17 years old.

The separation became ‘official’ a few months ago but only their closest circle knew it, as they have always been the champion of discretion. In fact, their relationship is so cordial and friendly that they have continued sharing family plans, such as going to the theater with their youngest daughter last Christmas. They also assure that they will continue to do so and that their divorce, which has not yet been signed, will be carried out on good terms. Among the fortune to be distributed are two houses: an apartment valued at more than 3 million euros in Manchester, where Guardiola resides, and a mansion in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Barcelona, ​​where Cristina lives. The latter has 741 square meters, a beautiful garden and a large swimming pool.
