Cristina Bucsa debuts with victory in Tokyo

MADRID, 25 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Cristina Bucsa made her debut this Monday in the Tokyo tournament, in the WTA 500 category and played on hard courts, with a victory against the Japanese Rina Saigo (6-1, 6-2), and will face the American Jessica Pegula.

Busca, number 87 in the world, needed only an hour and a quarter to eliminate the local tennis player, who achieved a break in the first game of the match. However, Chisinau responded by winning the next six.

Two other breaks in the second set allowed her to sign a quick victory, which places her in the round of 16 with the second favorite of the Asian competition, the American Jessica Pegula.
