Cristiano Ronaldo, fit to get closer to Ali Daei's record

Cristiano Ronaldo, after being supervised this Tuesday by Portuguese doctors, is fit and completed all morning training with the “quinas” in Lisbon, so on his horizon is to beat the Iranian Ali Daei, who in his career scored 109 goals with the Persian team.

Ronaldo, recovered from the right ankle discomfort he suffered last weekend in Juventus' game against Lazio, has achieved 101 goals in 167 games since he made his debut for Portugal and now has three appointments in a week ahead.

The first, this Wednesday against Andorra in Da Luz, where the Madeira player will surely remember that match against the Andorrans on October 7, 2016, in which he certified four 'targets' in a match they won 6-0.

It was the first time that he had scored so many goals with his national team, a mark that, to date, he has only managed to equalize in the match against Lithuania on September 10, 2019, where the “quinas” prevailed 1-5.

The following appointments will correspond to the group stage of the Nations League, where Portugal will face France on November 14 in Lisbon and on November 17 they will play Croatia in Split.

Today, during the press conference prior to tomorrow's game, the most repeated question to coach Fernando Santos was Cristiano's form and the hypothesis of whether it is a good time to close the gap with the Iranian.

However, Santos preferred to be prudent and recalled that the 25 players he has called up want to play every minute of each game.
