The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), the Argentine Leo Messi (Barcelona) and the Polish Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) are the finalists for the award for best player of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards Dubai 2020, whose gala will take place next day 27 .
Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are the aspiring clubs for the best team, while as coaches the finalists are the Germans Hans-Dieter Flick (Bayern), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) and Gian Pier Gasperini (Atalanta).
Last year Cristiano Ronaldo, Klopp and Liverpool were awarded, in their respective categories, as well as the Portuguese Joao Felix (Atlético de Madrid) as the best revelation player, the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi (then Borussia Dortmund) as the best young Arab, the Brazilian Alisson Becker (Liverpool) as the best goalkeeper and the Bosnian Miralem Pjanic (before Juventus, now Barcelona) to the race, among other winners
In this edition, the best of this century (2001-20) will also be recognized. Messi, the Egyptian Mohammed Salah (Liverpool), the Brazilian Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo are the contenders in the players section; Al Ahly, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the club field; Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane, Jose Mourinho and Alex Ferguson in that of coaches; and Giovani Branchini, Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes in that of agents.
