Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been injured in the warm-up prior to this Sunday’s game against RCD Mallorca and the Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has taken his place in the Real Madrid eleven.
“Change in the starting eleven for Real Madrid against Mallorca at the Mallorca Son Moix stadium. Lunin replaces Courtois, who is out at the last minute after withdrawing from the warm-up he was carrying out on the pitch,” the white club reported.
Just half an hour before the start of the game on matchday 20 of LaLiga Santander, the Belgian felt discomfort in his left abductor and left the warm-up on the pitch of the Mallorcan stadium.
This Monday he will undergo medical tests to determine the seriousness of the mishap, which could leave him without competing in the Club World Cup next week.
