The halting of all sports activities due to the coronavirus crisis is causing many athletes to be uncovering themselves as 'gamers'. Among them are Carvajal and Courtois who are going to participate in the Mambo Cup, the solidarity tournament of the FIFA video game to raise money in the fight against COVID-19 and help public health.
Members of the Mambo team, a group of Youtubers, have launched this tournament that will bring together a total of 27 people where numerous influencers such as Toniemcee, DJMariio, Mangel or Ibai, They will play against professional athletes. On the list of athletes are Courtois, Dani Carvajal, Facu Campazzo, Nico Laprovittola, Edy Tavares and De la Red.
The tournament will be played in FIFA 20 and will have several phases, a first one that will begin inl March 18. In this first phase, the influencers will face each other. The next day, the March, 19, the athletes will have to face the influencers in several rounds that will take place throughout the afternoon. Once the best ones have been decided, that same day the final phase will take place to determine the champion of the Mambo Cup.
