Correa: “It was a bit crazy, we never gave up”

MADRID, 22 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Atlético de Madrid striker Ángel Correa confessed that Saturday’s match against Valencia was “a bit crazy” and ended with the red-and-white comeback (3-2) with two goals in added time, to continue believing in the season.

“The whole match was a bit crazy, we are very happy to be able to come back against a very difficult rival. We had to be patient, we were losing 0-2, with the push of our people and calm we were able to do well and get the three points which are very important,” he told Movistar Plus.

The Argentine player explained that in the first part the doubts and errors that have chained up lately appeared again, but the work is to get out of the pothole. “When you have a moment when things don’t work out and you make mistakes, it happens to you, we have to correct it,” he said.

“They (the fans) never stopped believing in us, and we did our part, we never gave up and went for the victory. We have to correct the mistakes and keep many good things,” he concluded.
