Concha Velasco's family and friends say goodbye to the artist at the Cathedral of Valladolid

Concha Velasco He died this Saturday at the age of 84, in Madrid. After a life dedicated to art and culture, many well-known faces came to the popular Teatro de La Latina, where he performed for the last time, to pay him their well-deserved tribute. This Sunday, around 12:00 p.m., the artist's hearse has just arrived at the Cathedral of Valladolid, where her funeral is being held. Subsequently, it is planned that the Valladolid artist will be buried in the Pantheon of Illustrious Persons, in the El Carmen Cemetery.

Currently, inside the Cathedral there are already the mayor of Valladolid, Jesus Julio Carnero; the Councilor for Culture, Irene Carvajal and the director of Seminci, Jose Luis Cienfuegosas well as the city's former mayor and Minister of Transport, Oscar Puente and the president of the Board, Alfonso Férnandez Mañueco. Their children, Manuel y Pacoas well as the rest of his closest family and friends are also inside the temple.

Since 11:15 a.m., many Valladolid citizens have taken to the streets to accompany Velasco's funeral procession, which began on Hospital Militar Street. Subsequently, it continued along Paseo Zorrilla, San Ildefonso, Isabel la Católica, San Pablo and Angustias, where it made a brief stop next to the Calderón Theater, before reaching the city's Cathedral, where the funeral is being held.
