Competition postpones Castilla-Albacete on Tuesday

The Single Competition Judge has decided to postpone Real Madrid Castilla-Albacete from matchday 20 of the First RFEF due to the COVID outbreak suffered by the La Mancha team and that affects nine players on the squad. The match, with which Raúl’s subsidiary was going to open the second round, was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, January 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Competition had already postponed last Tuesday the match that Albacete had to play this weekend against Sabadell and that was to be played today Friday at 9:00 p.m. Real Madrid Castilla will play their match tomorrow, Saturday at 17:00 against Alcoyano at El Collao.

The outbreak at Albacete Balompié has caused the Ciudad Deportiva Andrés Iniesta to close this weekend and the matches played at its facilities will be behind closed doors. The positive part of this matter is that All those affected by coronavirus are mild and following the protocol established by the health authorities in their respective homes. waiting for the situation to improve in the coming days.

“Today, this Competition Judge has been made aware of the documentation sent by the Albacete Balompié SAD medical services regarding the evolution of the health situation of its First RFEF team, which still reflects an active outbreak of COVID- 19 which, as of today, still affects nine players, having detected a new positive case of a player since the previous situation. It is appropriate to also postpone the match of his team from group 2 of the First RFEF against REAL MADRID CASTILLA, scheduled for Tuesday, January 25, 2022“, Explains the Single Competition Judge in his resolution.

It should be remembered that the regulation by which postponements for reasons related to COVID are governed in First RFEF is different and more flexible than the one that exists in First and Second. In the bronze category, the possibility for clubs to play matches with five players with a record of the team in question is not included and neither does it restrict the number of postponements that a team can request, but it even contemplates that some club can not complete all the games on your schedule. In the latter case, the coefficients would be used to determine the final classification.

On the following day, the 21st of the championship, Castilla will play the mini-Clásico against Barça B on Saturday 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Johan Cruyff Stadium and Albacete must receive Sevilla Atlético that same day at 5:00 p.m. at the Carlos Belmonte.

Classification of group 2 of the First RFEF and schedules of days 19, 20 and 21.
