Comesaña: “Shut up, learn and keep working, that’s what you have to do”

Hours after the draw in Los Cármenes (2-2), outrage has given way to misunderstanding within Rayo Vallecano. Players, coaching staff, directors, fans… some of the controversial decisions of the referee Hernández Hernández are still not explained, although they prefer to close the page and focus on their next match against Valencia.

One of the protagonists in Granada was Santi Comesaña. Two tickets cost him two yellow cards and he was sent off in the 51st minuteleaving the redheads with one less and notably changing the script played by their team up to that point. Before this red card, Rayo had overwhelmed the Nasrids, who were losing 0-2 in the 16th minute.

Madrileños they did not understand why Hernández Hernández showed him the second card in an action that during the first half had not punished Petrovic. Similar play that would also have left the locals with ten. That was the first controversy and the last, the dubious penalty awarded to Mario Suárez in minute 92, which led to the final draw.

Comesaña —a fixture for Iraola in midfield— He has taken the floor this Monday to make self-criticism. “It’s hard to accept a draw. The mistakes of others don’t take away mine. Keep quiet, learn and keep working, that’s what you have to do”wrote the Galician on Instagram. Therefore, he will not be against Valencia, one of the clubs that have him on the agenda, like Villarreal and Betis.
