Columbia launches a new collection to stay cool and protected in the summer

MADRID, 13 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The brand specialized in outdoor sports Columbia presents a collection to stay cool and protected in the summer months when the heat is more intense and athletes face increasingly frequent heat waves.

Although spending time in the sun is vital for physical and mental well-being, it also presents a variety of challenges when it comes to staying cool and protected from the harmful UVA and UVB rays that can lead to the development of skin cancer and other health problems if measures are not taken to protect themselves.

For spring 2024, Columbia Sportswear has launched its new ‘Hike Cool and Protected’ collection, which aims to provide complete protection against UV rays and heat, allowing you to enjoy outdoor activities all summer long.

Columbia’s new collection uses patented Omni-Freeze Zero Ice and innovative Omni-Shade Broad Spectrum Air Flow technologies to achieve maximum protection that will make the athlete want to be outside from dawn to dusk.

Columbia’s Omni-Shade Broad Spectrum technology, launched last year, offers enhanced protection against harmful UV rays. This technology not only blocks UVA and UVB rays but also reflects infrared rays, reducing the risk of skin damage and overheating.

For its part, the Omni-Shade Broad Spectrum Air Flow offers sun protection along with better ventilation and cooling. With a specialized fabric construction, it allows for better airflow, absorbing moisture and heat, reducing the risk of overheating.

Featured in this category is the Summit Valley Technical Hoodie (RRP: €70) for men and women. Packed with UPF50 and sweat-wicking properties, this lightweight hoodie is designed for summer adventures. Its hooded design and long sleeves offer optimal sun protection, while odor-neutralizing fabric keeps you cool during your activities.

In addition to Omni-Shade Broad Spectrum Air Flow technology, the Summit Valley technical sweatshirt features Omni-Wick technology, which captures and neutralizes odors for long-lasting freshness.

For all-day cooling, Columbia offers Omni-Freeze Zero Ice, the industry’s most advanced active cooling technology. Its contact-activated cooling fabric proactively combats heat, while an enhanced, sweat-activated pattern improves moisture management and evaporative cooling.

Highlighting this technology is the Cirque River Technical T-shirt for men and women. This t-shirt is part of the Titanium range and is equipped with the advanced Omni-Freeze Zero Ice sweat-activated cooling technology. Omni-Wick fabric captures and neutralizes odors, ensuring the athlete stays comfortable and fresh all day.
