Colonel Kate Middleton changes the tiara and her looks for the camouflage of the Irish Guard

Under the snow, with a wool cap and the camouflage uniform. Kate Middleton, in his debut as Colonel of the First Battalion of the Irish Guards, attended military training with the soldiers. The visit to the Wiltshire countryside, in England, took place this Wednesday, March 8. Smiling and proactive, the Princess of Wales was talking with some of the members of the Army to learn first-hand about their day-to-day life and her routines.

This was the experience of the wife of the Prince Guillermo with the Irish Guards, a regiment known as The Micks, which is part of the British Army. March 8, International Women’s Day, was also chosen for this visit. A symbolic date loaded with visibility and inspiration for female empowerment and leadership.

Amid white fields of ice and snow, Kate wore her military camouflage uniform of jacket and pants and boots. She covered her hair, which she wore in a braid, with a wool cap.

As Colonel of the First Battalion of the Irish Guards, the King’s daughter-in-law watched a royal training session and took part in some of the exercises. Later, he shared this experience on his social networks and highlighted the regiment’s work: “It is as broad as it is exemplary, from training rangers in the fight against poaching in East Africa to mine clearance training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.

The training took place in Wiltshire, a county in the southwest of the country with land with high hills, such as those of Marlborough. It borders Gloucestershire to the north and Oxfordshire and Berkshire to the east. The falling snow was heavy.
