City strikes first – AS.com

Manchester City took a step forward in the Champions semi-finals after coming back against PSG in a game in which he seemed knocked out at half-time. Marquinhos hit the corner first, but Guardiola's modifications in the second half and two defensive errors they tipped the balance in favor of the English team, which came back thanks to De Bruyne and Mahrez.

With Bakker's only surprise in the local eleven, PSG and Manchester City fought in a duel that was the maximum expression of what modern football has become in recent years. Manchester City started by taking the initiative, but most of his attacks didn't bother Keylor or were they sterile possessions that collided with Pochettino's 4-4-2 effort.

PSG gradually grew and began to weave transitions that did a lot of damage to their rival. Neymar had the clearest after a good wall with Verratti, but Ederson made a great save. City, exposed above all in each loss, did not know how to counter Neymar and Verratti throughout the first half and ended up paying the consequences.

Marquinhos has become PSG's life insurance in the Champions League. He scored against Atalanta and Leipzig last season and had scored at Old Trafford and Allianz this season. The Brazilian took advantage of a fantastic cross from Di María in a corner to overtake PSG, who hardly suffered in the first act except a shot from Foden to the center in the front of the area.

Soccer is a mental sport in which goals are an emotional destabilizer. Manchester City looked like a dead team at halftime and, thanks to Guardiola's modifications (including Zinchenko for Cancelo), the English approached the Keylor area and they locked up their rival. The goal, which was about to fall, materialized in a center shot by De Bruyne that Keylor did not measure well. With the tie at one, PSG ceased to exist and City came back thanks to Mahrez in a foul that exposed the Parisian barrier. Gueye saw the red for a very hard tackle on Gündogan and City got the tie back on track in Paris.
