MADRID, 10 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Manchester City has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to close the transfer of Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, the English club itself announced in a statement on Tuesday.
“Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the club on July 1, 2022,” the entity reported in a brief text.
In addition, City said that the transfer is still “subject” to the terms and conditions of the contract that must be closed with the player himself.
Thus, the English team is ahead of other clubs that could be interested in the Norwegian striker, who this year has scored 28 goals in 28 games with Borussia Dortmund, a team he joined from Salzburg in January 2020.
