City measures its unbeaten record against Fulham and Arsenal and United do not want to lose pace

MADRID, 31 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City will examine their unbeaten run in their positive domestic start against Fulham at the Etihad, while Arsenal and Manchester United will face each other at the Emirates with the aim of not losing pace with the upper zone, with the fear of stay somewhat off the hook, at the same time that West Ham and Tottenham seek to continue on top in their away commitments, all of them corresponding to the fourth day of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s team is the only team that counts its three domestic games for victories, in addition to having conceded only one goal in the duels against Burnley (0-3), Newcastle (1-0) and Sheffield United (1-2) . A very positive start to put a lead on track, already alone, with his theoretical rivals for the title already somewhat far away.

The ‘citizen’ team will face Fulham at home this Saturday, in a test that is not expected to be very demanding, against a team that has not beaten them since 2009 -16 direct clashes in the City Premier without losing-. However, the season of the ‘Cottagers’ is not bad, after adding 4 points out of 9 possible, after the draw (2-2) against the candidate Arsenal. A balance that places them in the middle of the table at this start of the League.

Another of the great attractions of this fourth day of the English competition will be Arsenal-Manchester United, a duel between two favorites to be fighting for the front positions, but who are now fighting not to drop off prematurely. In the case of the ‘Gunners’, who started the season by raising the Community Shield against City, that last draw against Fulham meant a slowdown after two initial wins.

After being a real candidate for the League until the penultimate matchday last year, Arteta’s men, fifth in the table with 7 points, are obliged not to play much more if they want to keep up with the pace set by City for the moment. Opposite, this Sunday, will be a United that has gone six years without winning at the Emirates, but that also comes under some pressure due to the classification, with two victories and three units from the leader.

In addition, an undefeated Liverpool and somewhat renewed after the departure of important pieces hosts Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at Anfiel, in a duel in which they hope to match or increase the performance shown against Newcastle in the most recent match. Still without showing the best version of him, the ‘reds’ came back with a man less than some reinforced ‘magpies’, in a demonstration of resilience away from home.

Brighton-Newcastle will also be a highlight on Saturday, a match between two of the most daring teams and with a more offensive style in the competition. In addition, the ‘seagulls’ are protagonists of the present, due to the information that places the Barcelona player Ansu Fati in his squad on loan. De Zerbi’s men lost to West Ham (1-3) and are close to European positions, while the ‘magpies’, with two defeats, must fight a four-point gap with Europe.

On this fourth day, Tottenham, third and unbeaten, will also visit Burnley and Mauricio Pochettino’s irregular Chelsea will host Nottingham Forest. This weekend of matches in the Premier League will open with Luton-West Ham, a duel in which the visitors want to confirm their good start, second two points behind City.
