City fails to lead despite another Haaland goal

Draw for Liverpool and wins for Tottenham and Chelsea

MADRID, 3 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City gave up a draw (1-1) this Saturday against Aston Villa on the sixth day of the Premier, despite the fact that its new star Erling Haaland scored his tenth goal, just as Liverpool could not go from 0 -0 against Everton.

Pep Guardiola’s team had the option of becoming leader provisionally, but they stayed at 14 points for the 15 of a leading Arsenal that will play on Monday against Manchester United. The Norwegian’s goal was made to wait until the 50th minute.

City forgave or ran into the rival goalkeeper and fifteen minutes from the end Bailey made it 1-1 for the locals. Coutinho was close to giving a major scare to a champion who has already dropped four points in these six games, although his rivals are not at their best either.

Liverpool couldn’t beat Everton in an attractive and intense derby at Goodison Park, leaving the Reds out of the European zone with nine points. The ball did not want to enter, especially in the good arrivals of Tom Davies for the locals and a Darwin Núñez who returned after being sent off against Crystal Palace, in the visitors.

Roberto Firmino, Luis Diaz and Salah also forgave against a great Pickford. Meanwhile, Everton held out with options until the end, Lampard’s team picking up the pace with draws, four in a row. On the other hand, Tottenham maintains its undefeated status and placed third with 14 points.

The ‘Spurs’ beat Fulham (2-1) with goals from Hojbjerg and Kane. Mitrovic’s goal ten minutes from the end gave some emotion to the match, despite the siege and dominance of a Tottenham that at the moment does not fail a little as a contender for the Premier.

In addition, in an irregular start, Chelsea got the three points (2-1) against a West Ham also in need, in the relegation zone. At Stamford Bridge it went from agony to euphoria in a final half hour where the goals came. Chilwell and Havertz responded to Antonio’s. Meanwhile, David Moyes’ team left frustrated with the VAR, which annulled the tie in the 90th minute.

On the other hand, the start of Leeds continues to lose strength after being thrashed (5-2) by Brentford, in the same way that the reinforced Newcastle does not finish getting a good performance, after a 0-0 against Palace and with only the victory in his debut.
