Thousands of Real Madrid fans went to the Cibeles fountain and surrounding areas this Saturday night after the white team’s victory in the Champions League final held at Wembley Stadium in London.
Madrid suffered but lifted the European Cup again, with goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinícius, in the second half, against a Borussia Dortmund that collapsed in the last 20 minutes. The fifteenth European Cup became a reality in London and, in the Spanish capital, the white fans were clear about their destiny.
Although the official celebration will be this Sunday, from the final whistle fans began to gather in Plaza de Cibeles, the traditional meeting point and celebration of Real Madrid’s successes. The police force had previously cordoned off the goddess and thousands of people took over the surrounding area.
The streets adjacent to Cibeles, Alcalá, Paseo del Prado and Recoletos also recorded a massive influx of fans, with thousands of them descending from the Santiago Bernabéu, along Paseo de la Castellana, after following the final on the giant screens that They settled in the white stadium.
With the chants towards their idols and celebrating new success in the top continental competition, 15 titles winning the last nine finals, the night is expected to be long in the capital.
