Chelsea will have their fans… at Wembley

The English football federation or Football Association (FA) has confirmed that it has held talks with the government of its country to obtain exemptions from the restrictions imposed on Chelsea. For now, these negotiations have allowed the Blues’ fans to be allowed to sell tickets for the final phase of the FA Cup, the oldest tournament in football, which holds the semi-finals and the final at Wembley Stadium.

Thus, the weekend of April 16 to 17, Chelsea fans will be able to get their tickets for the match against Crystal Palace, their rival in the semi-finals. A round to which Tuchel’s team agreed after beating Middlesbrough 0-2 on their visit to Riverside. The northern stadium received 700 fans of the London team who cheered a lot, and despite being a minority, they could be heard throughout the match.

Those same fans now hope that the Champions League ban will open and that they can attend the match on April 6 against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Yes OK, It is not yet clear if it will be played behind closed doors, because since Downing Street froze Roman Abramovich’s assets, Chelsea have not been able to sell a single ticket for their matches.

The current champion of the Champions League has a license issued by the British government to continue with a part of its usual operations, but this permission does not include getting more out of its stadium, which can only be accessed by its subscribers. However, at Stamford Bridge there are no “eurosubscriptions”, as they are known at Real Madrid, and all those who want to enter the next Champions League match will have to buy their ticket, as long as the box office opens…
