Chelsea does not come out of the pothole and draws at nothing against the Wolves

Chelsea loses steam in the fight for the Premier League. The ‘blue’ team does not come out of its slump by drawing at nothing at the Molineux Stadium against Wolverhampton (0-0) and chaining two days without winning. The London team has seen four points fly in the last two games and is already six behind the leadership held by Manchester City, a distance that can be traced as long as Tuchel’s men recover their best version, something that does not occur at the moment.

The game against Wolves showed that Chelsea is going through a bad footballing moment. The losses of Wener, Havertz and Lukaku weigh too much for the ‘blues’, who are no longer that steamroller that ended up passing over any rival.

As in the day against Everton, Tuchel’s men left two points in the pipeline that may be key in their aspirations to the final title. This time it was against some rocky Wolves that left the Londoners ‘dry’.

The thicket of Chelsea at the Molineux Stadium was total, like the fog that covered the pitch for most of the game. At no time did the Stamford Bridge team appear in a position to take the game, at least per game, since Pulisic was able to change the sign of the match to hit his heads-up with José Sá shortly after the end. That was the only spark of a Chelsea without a goal.

In the first half, it was the Wolves who proposed the most, with a Raúl Jiménez who brought ‘blue’ behind him. The Mexican was the catalyst for the local offensive game, well supported by Podence, who saw the door in the 15th minute. However, the VAR annulled his goal for a previous offside.

Not even so did Chelsea know how to react, despondent and powerless to tear down the yellow wall. Tuchel was disappointed in the band trying to instill some blood in his pupils, but there was no way and the ‘blues’ continue to lose ground with the City leader.
