Cesc Fàbregas announced this Friday that he will leave the Monaco at the end of this season, discouraged by his long string of injuries, but says he wants to continue his career.
“It’s certain that between Monaco and me it’s over. My contract expires in June and I’m looking for a new starting point,” he assured. Fàbregas in an interview with the French digital media Sofoot.com.
The Catalan footballer, who has just turned 35 and who came to Monaco in 2019, he notes that he has received several phone calls from some of his former coaches “to find out what I am going to do, to see if I would like to join them this summer” on the technical side.
“But this year has been so bad that I can’t finish like this, not after having built this career. I want to continue playing,” says the footballer, who recalls that after 19 years and almost 900 games in the elite he has won “practically everything”.
Winner of a world and two Eurocopas with Spain and all possible titles at club level with the FC Barcelona, Cesc does not advance clues about where he could continue his career. “It’s just about finding a good project and making it happen,” he explains.
The objective is to leave behind the sensations of this season. “I have suffered a lot this year and it has been tough on a mental level. You have to stay strong,” she describes.
