Cervera: “They should save the referee from going to see the VAR plays”

Álvaro Cervera, Cádiz coach, said on Tuesday that his team lacked “intensity” in some plays in the 3-2 loss to Osasuna.

The visiting coach indicated at a press conference that his team played a “sensational” first half hour of the game until Akapo's injury, to change from then on.

“In the second half we have not been well,” Cervera admitted with resignation after witnessing a game in which his players went from more to less until they fell with honor.

“I can't say what I think because in this country they can punish you,” he declared when asked about the penalty given to Cádiz by hand before adding that “no one has told us which hands are and which hands are not.”

“I think they should save the referee from going to see the play because whenever the referee goes he says what the VAR has said beforehand,” he added.

Finally, the Cadista coach noted the following regarding the controversy: “That's what there is, they don't want to change it, they don't do anything to change it, they don't want to explain it and we have to accept it as good.”
