Carmen Borrego’s greatest fear in Honduras: “I am afraid of experiencing the pending grief there for the death of my mother”

Countdown to the march to Honduras Carmen Borrego. The sister of Terelu Campos He is one of the star signings of the next edition of Survivorswhich premieres on the 7th, and this Friday he gave his last interview before leaving to confess what his greatest fear is in the face of the challenge that is presented to him: “I’m afraid of seeing myself alone on a beach and without my family. I’m afraid that stopping there will make me experience grief that I haven’t yet experienced for the death of my mother.”

Carmen, who takes a pendant with the ashes of Maria Teresa Campos, has confessed that she has her mother very present: “There I will look at the sky to talk to her because I continue talking to her, I fall asleep talking to her and I wake up talking to her many mornings. I have a candle set for her and it gives me peace.” Excited, she confessed: “If I had her in front of me I would tell her that she has been a great mother, a great grandmother and that life without her is still very difficult.” Carmen added: “Sometimes I look at her photo and ask her: Have I gone crazy, haven’t I?”

The new survivor affirms that María Teresa would not have been amused by this decision: “My mother was very cowardly. She would have told me ‘What is the need to do this?’. But once she saw that my decision was firm, she would have supported the first, although it would be bad to see me there. Also her sister, Terelu: “She will have a hard time but she will also enjoy it. She is crazy, very excited, she has already made a guasap group to support me. Just like Alejandra, who has been telling me for years to go to Survivors,” she said. Carmen took the opportunity to explain where her relationship is with her niece, with whom she has had some public scuffles on the program they share: “Alejandra She is the apple of my eye, she has an overwhelming personality and I see her happy. When I return from Survivors “I want to see her as happy as I see her now.”

“Heights scare me”

Carmen Borrego’s challenge is not trivial. Survivors It is one of the most demanding formats on television and she, at 57 years old, will not be one of the most physically powerful contestants. She, however, is sure of herself: “It was a very thoughtful decision.” Of course, the talk show host confessed with a laugh: “I’m very afraid of flying so the question is not whether I’m going to jump out of the helicopter but, am I going to get on the helicopter?”

Carmen recognizes that she has a lot of character but assures that, for the moment, she is in peace: “I am not usually conflictive in coexistence but I also have my moments. I want to lean on my colleagues, let myself go and try to get to know them.” Some start with an advantage: “With Zayra I will get the maternal instinct because I have known her since she was little, and Kike Calleja is family to me. I don’t know Aurah although I see her as conflictive and with Ángel Cristo I would like to have a conversation. Today I “His mother and sister called to wish me luck and give me some advice.” The one who is going to fight him is Jorge Javier Vázquez: “I’ve spoken to him several times. I’m excited that he’s there even though I know he’s going to poke and prod me because what Jorge likes most in the world is to see me angry. He’ll do everything possible to annoy me.”
