Carlos Tevez officially announced that he is definitely hanging up his boots

After putting his career on hiatus in May 2021, Carlos Tevez38, announced his final retirement from football with the phrase: “I’m already retired, it’s confirmed.”

“They always asked me why I stopped playing and one day I answered: because I lost my number one fan (his father passed away in February 2021). There was a silence. It was the only time I thought of myself”, expressed the ‘Apache’ in a television interview for America TV with tears in her eyes.

Explaining the decision made when he decided to close his third stage in Boca Juniors, Tevez stated: “My last year playing was very hard because he was brain dead. Regarding your future, Tevez he clarified: “I am enthusiastic about a project that I am doing with my brothers and with ‘Chapa’ Retegui. I made the decision that I am going to lead. Tevez, with 30 titles, is the fourth most successful Argentine player in history behind Lionel Messi (40), Angel Di Maria (32) and Luis ‘Lucho’ Gonzalez (31).
