MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) was satisfied with a United States Grand Prix in which they did “almost everything perfect” to get a fourth place with which they were not optimistic on Saturday, even fighting for the podium.
“We took full advantage of the race. A very solid race with a very good pace and we were even on the verge of a podium, which after yesterday’s sprint seemed very complicated,” he said in statements to Dazn, collected by Europa Press.
The man from Madrid managed the tires well and, from a good start to a poor finish, he ended up putting pressure on Lando Norris (McLaren) to get on the podium. “We did everything almost perfectly and we got a good fourth place. There were a couple of laps where I took a second off Norris, which seemed impossible yesterday, but it wasn’t enough,” he concluded.
