Carlos Sainz: “For some reason that we don’t understand, it’s costing us”

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) explained that they do not know the reason for the decline of the red cars in the Canadian Grand Prix, after dominating in Monaco, and pointed out that he went to the limit in the last lap of Q2 trying to advance before losing a few valuable tenths due to the rain.

“It hasn’t been dramatic because we already knew from free practice 3 that both cars were having a hard time on this circuit, for some reason that we don’t understand, the Ferraris haven’t done well on this track,” he stated seriously in statements to Dazn.

The man from Madrid pointed to the grip and the difficulty in “warming up tires”, and valued that last corner in which he lost control of the car when he had time to move on to Q3. “It had already started to rain, I was already playing it safe, and in the last corner, when it was already raining a lot, I paid for it,” he concluded.
