In motorcycles, Ricky Brabec is the new leader and Adrien Van Beveren takes the time trial

The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz (Audi) is the new leader in cars of the Dakar Rally, taking advantage of the new Crono 48 hours better than anyone else, a two-day stage like an endless marathon in which he was second, after Sébastien Loeb, and after the one who has more than 20 minutes over his teammate Mattias Ekström in the provisional general classification, which in motorcycles is now led by the American Ricky Brabec (Honda).
In cars, the victory in the new Crono 48H went to the Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (BRX) – his second stage in this Dakar 2024 and the 25th in total – with Carlos Sainz second at 2:01 minutes. With this great result, Sainz rises to the top of the general classification, with Ekström at 20:21 and Loeb, now third, 29:31 minutes behind the 'Matador'.
