Alcaraz, who has not shown signs of spending five months and two days without competing, he has won five games in five days, all against much more experienced rivals than him and most better placed in the classification of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP).

The player from El Palmar, number 318 in the world and who turned 17 years on May 5, in full confinement due to the coronavirus pandemic, He has worked a lot during these months on the physical plane and the result is that he has endured with great ease the requirement to return to the slopes almost without rest between encounter and encounter.

On the central court of the JC Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy, facilities where he usually trains, the Murcian beat Bernabé Zapata in two sets and in a rather hurried manner by 7-6 in the first and 6-4 in the second and final.

Zapata, 23 years old and number 212 of the ATP, was overtaken by the solid and effective tennis from an Alcaraz that he knew how to handle the tension in the more committed moments, such as the sudden death of the initial set.

In this way, Alcaraz closes a great week, which started winning to the Alicante Francisco Andreu for a double 6-3, to the Almerian Javier Barranco by 6-3 and 7-5, to Albacete Guillermo García López by 6-1, 4-6 and 6-3 and Valencian Carlos Taberner for a double 6-1. So that, five games and five wins, giving up a single set for Palma who continues to aim high in his still incipient career as a tennis professional.
