Carlo Ancelotti, positive in COVID-19

MADRID, 30 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has tested positive for COVID-19 this Wednesday, as confirmed by the Madrid club in a statement.

The Italian, already isolated at his home after his contagion confirmed in the tests carried out on the squad and coaching staff, could not sit on the white bench against Celta de Vigo in Balaídos. Thus, it would be his son Davide, assistant coach, who will lead the Madrid squad in the game next Saturday (6:30 pm), corresponding to matchday 30 of LaLiga Santander.

In addition, Ancelotti could also miss the momentous first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea next Wednesday (9:00 p.m.) at Stamford Bridge.
