Caritina Goyanes dies after suffering a stroke, 19 days after the death of her father, Carlos

Grief in the Goyanes family. Following the death on August 8 of businessman Carlos Goyanes, Marisol’s ex-husband and Cari Lapique’s husband, his daughter Caritina has died of a sudden heart attack. She leaves behind two children.

One of the last images we have of Caritina and her sister Carla was at their father’s funeral in San Pedro de Marbella. Both, torn between hugs and condolences, expressed their sadness: “He was the best father and grandfather that could exist.” Carlos Goyanes died at the age of 79 in his home in Marbella while he was taking a nap. The family has now suffered the loss of Caritina and also of the businessman’s brother, Tito Goyanes, who died this Sunday, August 25, due to a heart attack.

The businesswoman, who was in Marbella, felt unwell and her husband, Antonio Matos, took her to hospital, where she suffered a cardiac arrest. Caritina, mother of Pedro, aged 13, and Minicari, aged 10, a businesswoman and entrepreneur, launched her own catering company, Sixsens. As her Instagram profile says, “Mother of Pedrito and Mini Cari, crazy about Matos and happy with Sixsens”. Passionate about family and her work, she was devoted to her children. She married Antonio in 2006 in a highly publicised wedding attended by, among others, Ana Rosa Quintana, as she herself sadly recalled on her programme when she heard the sad news.
