Carballés and Munar are left without semifinals in Umag

MADRID, 28 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis players Roberto Carballés and Jaume Munar said goodbye to the tournament in Umag (Croatia) this Friday when they fell in the quarterfinals against the Swiss Stan Wawrinka and the Italian Lorenzo Sonego.

Carballés closed the day in the Croatian ATP 250 with a painful defeat against a Wawrinka wanting to find his best version. The Swiss started by losing his serve but turned the game around to win 6-4, 7-5.

In the same way, in the previous turn, Munar suffered a hard blow against Sonego, since he scored the first set but the Italian rallied the match (3-6, 6-1, 6-2). Umag’s appointment is thus left without Spanish representation for the semifinal round.
