Sebastián 'el Gallego' Méndez, his assistant, took over the team and will continue to command the 'Lobo'.
“If the doctors say that he is fit to be on the field in a substitute bench, perfect. But if the doctors say otherwise, they have to stop Diego. What he needs today is a group of professionals who take him well” The president of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Gabriel Pellegrino, told the TyC Sports channel on Wednesday.
“We are at the disposal of whatever is necessary for Diego to be well, in gymnastics or outside of gymnastics. We want Diego to be well and with better medical support,” he added.
Maradona's general practitioner, Leopoldo Luque, said this Wednesday at noon at a press conference from the door of the clinic that the 60-year-old coach is evolving “without any complications” and that he will not have “sequelae” after being operated on. a subdural hematoma.
