Captains list confirmed for ATP Cup

The ATP has released the list of captains of the 12 countries that will compete from February 1 to 5 in the second edition of the ATP Cup to be held in Melbourne after the quarantine prior to the Australian Open.

Serbia, led by Novak Djokovic and with Viktor Troicki as captain, will try to repeat the title before countries like Spain, which will have Rafa Nadal as its main racket while the captaincy will correspond to Pepe Vendrell, the coach of Spanish number 2 Roberto Bautista.

The list of captains also leaves us with Wolfgang Thiem, father of Dominic Thiem, as captain of Austria, as happens in Greece with Apostolos Tsitsipas, the father of Stefanos, while in Germany the captain will be Mischa Zverev, the brother of 'Sascha'. For its part, Argentina will have in the figure of Diego Schwartzman its number 1 and its captain

The 12 participating countries are already known, their 12 numbers 1, their 12 captains … but there is still to know how the teams will be distributed when playing the tournament.

At dawn from Thursday to Friday (02:00 Spanish time, 12:00 local time) it will be known how the teams are framed for the group stage of this first ATP Cup that will mark the start of the season for the great rackets of the men's circuit before the Australian Open.
