Camavinga sends an SOS

These are decisive days for Camavinga. With Ligue1 about to end, the European Under-21 on the closest horizon and about to decide what his new team will be for the next few years. As AS announced a few dates ago, the player and his new representation agency, Jonathan Barnett's Stellar Group, made the decision to leave this summer. Camavinga has only one more year left on his contract and it is the ideal moment despite the fact that the second part of the season has not been positive for the midfielder, who He has seen his progression stagnate (he accused the change of agent and the departure of his coach and discoverer Stephane from Rennes).

In this situation, in the recent small interview granted by Camavinga to Téléfoot, the player sent a kind of SOS, a message to Real Madrid, which is his great priority for the next market. “It makes you feel flattered and it's nice that teams like Real Madrid or Bayern are interested in your situation, I'm not going to lie, but I have not yet decided with my family what I will do.” The question was specific because of the interest of those two teams and that was what Camavinga responded to. But he was referring to a past interest. Now the landscape has changed. Camavinga is closer to the Premier, and even PSG sees his hiring as very feasible beyond the Bayern polls … It is Madrid that must take the step forward and that has not yet decided, because in its strategy others weigh more names like Haaland or Mbappè.

Camavinga's numbers with Rennes.

When Camavinga changed agency and left his lifelong representative, Moussa Sissoko (the same as Barcelonista Dembelé's), he did so with the firm intention that this would facilitate his signing for Real Madrid. This is Camavinga's great illusion, and he had it very close when Juni Calafat established the first contacts for his signing … But then the pandemic struck and the outlook changed radically.

Today, as sources close to the player point to AS, several Premier teams have taken the lead on the situation of the player, who, at just 18 years old, is one of the midfielders with the most future of the moment. Bayern's interest is from the same time as Madrid's, pre-academy, and yet PSG was the last to definitively enter the scene. L’Equipe points out that after the last league game played against Stade Rennes, Leonardo met with the player's surroundings. His dream of playing for Madrid under Zidane is not close, but the player wanted to send that SOS into Tétéfoot's microphones. Rennes will let him out for a figure that will be around 40-50 million euros.
